Stay. Shop. Make Memories. Happy Memorial Day.

Eating.
Sleeping.
Laughing.
Shopping.

This is the stuff that the Memorial Holiday weekend is made of, and we invite you to LaGrange County to eat, camp (or enjoy other types of lodging), and make your own memories.

We have a number of campsites where you can pitch a tent and horseshoes:

Brethren Retreat at Shipshewana Lake

Riverside Campgrounds

Shipshewana Campground North Park, South Park

Trading Post Camp, Kayak, and Campground

Shipshewana RV Park

Auction
One of the biggest benefit auctions in the area is held this weekend, and this auction has been taking place for 31 years.

The Indiana Haiti Benefit Auction will take place May 25 and 26 at the Miscellaneous and Antiques Building on the Flea Market grounds.

An open house takes place Friday beginning at 5:00 p.m., with food vendors and a preview of the hundreds of items being sold.

On Saturday, auction day, the auction begins at 8:00 a.m. Furniture, storage buildings, buggies, tools, toys, and hundreds of handmade quilts are all part of the auction.

100% of the proceeds to Haiti Relief.

Shopping
Over 100 downtown Shipshewana shops are open this weekend and Monday, enough to keep you busy the entire holiday! And if that’s not enough…

…the Shipshewana Flea Market is open three days instead of two: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

Enjoy the Great Outdoors
Walk, jog, or bike ride the Pumpkinvine Trail.

Rent a canoe or kayak at Trading Post or Sarge’s Mongo River Run.

Find a comfortable bench or chair in town and just relax.

Making Memories
Can be done anytime, anywhere. Bring the camera, games, and fun.
